Transforming Audiences

Every two years we hold the ‘Transforming Audiences‘ conference at the University of Westminster, which began in 2007, reappearing in 2009 and 2011. In keeping with the themes of this project, the conference concerns what people do with media in their everyday lives now that they are no longer mere ‘audience’ but can quite easily create and participate themselves.

For the 2011 conference I was ironically not able to attend myself, as our baby girl was being born on the very morning of the first conference day, so I recorded some introductory thoughts, which appear in this video.
